Monin Ung
Professional Background
For over 20 years, Monin practiced as a solicitor with Magic Circle and international firms including Clifford Chance LLP, Allen & amp; Overy LLP, and Troutman Pepper. She is a triple-qualified English Barrister, Singapore advocate, and Hong Kong solicitor.
Boasting a stellar track record spanning blockchain-related dispute resolutions, compliance for technology companies (across blockchain, AI, cloud computing, and biotechnology), corporate finance, private equity, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, trade disputes, and intellectual property litigation.

Julian Lam
Professional Background
Julian specializes in cross-border M&A, IPOs, data protection, and technology law, with expertise in cloud computing, blockchain, NFTs, and biotechnology. He has extensive experience in cryptocurrency tracing, blockchain compliance, and cross-border corporate litigation and arbitration in Hong Kong and the UK. He also leads MUNG legal’s tech development initiatives.
Before joining MUNG, Julian worked at top international and PRC law firms and served on the HKEX IPO Vetting Team for the innovative sector.
He holds an LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law from City University of Hong Kong, an LLB from the University of Bristol, and a Professional Diploma in Accountancy.
Proficient in C++, JavaScript, Python, HTML, and CSS, Julian serves on multiple government committees. In 2021, he received the Outstanding Youth Commendation from the Secretary for Home Affairs for his contributions.

Leung Hei Yin
Professional Background
Hei Yin specializes in civil litigation, debt recovery, funds formation—particularly Open-Ended Fund Companies (OFCs)—and matrimonial practice. He offers extensive expertise in handling civil disputes, effective debt recovery strategies, investment fund structuring and compliance. His client-focused practice blends thorough legal analysis with pragmatic solutions for optimal results in litigious and advisory matters.
Before MUNG, Hei Yin worked at a leading independent Hong Kong law firm, building a solid base in litigation and advisory work through diverse cases that honed his skills and knowledge of local law. He holds an LLB and PCLL from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, providing strong foundations in common law and professional training.
Outside work, Hei Yin co-founded the Hong Kong Handflute Association, promoting the unique art of handflute music—producing flute sounds via hand shapes and breath. His efforts have garnered media attention from publications, TV, and online, highlighting his commitment to cultural preservation and community involvement.

Michael Hui BBS, MH, JP
Professional Background
Mr. Michael Hui is the Managing Director of Freedom Industrial Corp. Ltd., the Founding Partner of Elysian Executive Solution Ltd., director of Skyzer VC Ltd. and Independent Non-executive Director of Infaith Group. Mr. Hui graduated from the Department of Economics of Cornell University and has vast experience in management, import and export trade, apparel and start-up investment.
Mr. Hui has chaired a spectrum of government and commercial committees and actively participates in mainland organizations and affairs. He is currently a member of the Communications Authority, member of Trade and Industry Advisory Board, Council member of Lingnan University, Chairman of the University’s Committee on Mainland Development, and a member of Shenzhen CPPCC and the China Overseas Friendship Association.
In recognition of his outstanding leadership and significant contribution to the society, Mr Hui was conferred with a Medal of Honour in 2009, appointed as Justice of Peace in 2015, and Bronze Bauhinia Star in 2022 by the HKSAR government. In 2020 he was conferred Honorary University Fellowship by Hong Kong Baptist University.

Professional Background
Makoto Takada is a Japan-qualified attorney with over 30 years of experience and expertise on real estate (RE) funds and private equity (PE) funds.
Started at one of the biggest law firms in Japan and subsequently worked in Goldman Sachs Japan as an in-house counsel, in a PE fund as a general counsel, and now taking on a role as the managing director of a consulting firm in Hong Kong.

Crissy Cao
Professional Background
Crissy is a trainee solicitor at MUNG, where she assists in both contentious and non-contentious disputes resolution, as well as blockchain-related legal matters. Before joining MUNG, she gained valuable experience through internships at leading law firms and international organisations.
Crissy holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Hons) degree from Hong Kong Baptist University and a Juris Doctor degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Jingdi Shen
Professional Background
Jingdi Shen focuses on blockchain regulatory compliance and virtual asset law, with specialized knowledge in cryptocurrency trading, NFT intellectual property considerations, and cross-border Web3 regulatory developments.
Before joining MUNG, Jingdi conducted legislative research on emerging technology regulations during his internship at the Legislative Council of Hong Kong, developing strong policy analysis capabilities.
Jingdi holds a Juris Doctor (JD) and Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Waseda University (Tokyo). His interdisciplinary training in political science, economics and law provides a strategic foundation for technology-related legal advisory work.
